Who We Are

Re-Live is a Life Story arts organisation based in Wales, working with under-represented communities who wish to explore and express their lived experiences through the arts.

Since 2006, we have worked with older people, people living with dementia and their families, veterans, LGBTQ+ communities, people at the end of life, perinatal women, and health and social care professionals. Together, we co-create theatre, comics, music, exhibitions, and creative projects that share some of the hidden stories within our communities.

Our vision is of a society in which Life Story Arts is accessible to all and plays an important role in supporting health, wellbeing, compassion, and connection.

Alongside our creative work, we deliver experiential training in Life Story practice and creative approaches to supporting people living with complex experiences, including dementia, trauma, grief, and mental health challenges.

Re-Live is an Arts Council of Wales Multi-Year Funded organisation and recipient of the 2023 Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Award for Civic Arts Organisations. Our work has received national and international recognition for its contribution to Arts and Health practice.

In 2025, Bloomsbury Methuen Drama published Creating Life Story Theatre, written by Re-Live co-founders Karin Diamond and Alison O’Connor alongside Clark Baim. The book is a practical guide to co-production and co-creation, supporting artists, practitioners, and organisations to develop ethical and meaningful Life Story practice in their own communities.

“Re-Live has a deep-rooted commitment to its community, to placing their stories centre stage, and to championing the power of creative expression in destigmatising issues around health and wellbeing.” — Baroness Bull CBE, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation
