Karin Diamond

Karin Diamond is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Re-Live. Since 2006, she has co-created Life Story Arts projects that support people to explore and share their lived experiences through the arts.
Karin is co-author of Creating Life Story Theatre (Bloomsbury Methuen Drama, 2025), an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health (2019–20), and a Churchill Fellow (2010), whose research into creativity and dementia in Japan continues to influence Re-Live’s work today.
Alison O’Connor

Alison O’Connor co-founded Re-Live alongside Karin Diamond and played a central role in developing Re-Live’s Life Story methodology and theatre productions.
Alison is co-author of Creating Life Story Theatre (Bloomsbury Methuen Drama, 2025), a Churchill Fellow (2016), and currently supports Re-Live’s arts practitioners as the organisation’s professional supervisor.
Associate Artists
Robyn Herfellow
Robyn is a multi-disciplinary artist, composer, and performer who has worked across numerous Re-Live productions including Memoria, Belonging/Perthyn, The Return, and Secret Country. Their work spans theatre, music, participatory performance, and live art.
Pauline Down
Pauline has led Re-Live’s Coming Home choir for veterans and community members since 2016. She is a singer, composer, choir leader, and experienced participatory arts practitioner with a long-standing commitment to arts and wellbeing work.
Jain Boon
Jain leads Re-Live’s drama practice with veterans. She is a theatre director, creative practitioner, and Arts Council of Wales National Adviser with a particular interest in trauma-informed theatre practice and the power of creativity to support change.
Neil White
Neil is a musician and composer who has worked with Re-Live since 2012. His work explores how music can support connection, confidence, self-expression, and wellbeing across a wide range of communities.

Sarah Belson
Chair
Sarah has over twenty-five years’ experience working in international development, health, and community engagement. She brings extensive experience in collaboration, programme development, and supporting the meaningful involvement of people with lived experience.
Mark Jones
Trustee
Mark leads the Younger Onset Dementia Service at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and first connected with Re-Live through its experiential dementia training. He is passionate about creating spaces where marginalised voices can be heard and understood.
Val Hill
Trustee
Val worked for over two decades with Hijinx Theatre, eventually becoming Executive Director. She brings extensive experience in theatre leadership, arts management, and inclusive arts practice.
Nick Andrews
Trustee
Nick is a Research and Practice Development Officer at Swansea University and coordinates the DEEP programme, exploring storytelling, dialogue, and relationship-centred practice in social care and research.
Ruba Sivagnanam
Trustee
Ruba has worked across law, politics, and community advocacy, including as a criminal barrister and parliamentary caseworker. She is passionate about justice, equality, and supporting people to tell their own stories in their own way.
